Gateway Green Matcha
I had to create a tea brand and design its packaging. I made a brand called Gateway Green Matcha. Gateway Matcha Tea is a Japanese brand based in Fukuoka, Japan, where their tea is produced on matcha farms renowned for their bold and rich umami flavor. I came up with the name Gateway to symbolize the Kusida Shrine, which residents have nicknamed. Once I conceptualized the brand, I created a logo and brand guidelines that fit the brand and the Japanese art culture boldly. The logo represents the gate of the Kusida Shrine, which protects the flavor of the matcha tea leaf. The color palette is green, yellow, and beige. The green represents matcha, and the yellow represents the natural beauty in Japan. Japanese designs inspired my brand guidelines, which incorporate geometric shapes into the packaging. Once I created the brand guidelines, I designed a dieline template of the package design, created mockups, and built it in real-time. Some challenges I had were time restraints and a lack of funds to implement the package. Tools: Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Pacdora
